Effective January 1, 2020, the new SECURE Act took effect, changing the way you can accumulate and distribute your 401(k)s, IRAs, and inherited accounts. Titled "Setting Every Community Up for Retirement Enhancement", this new law was enacted to ease some of the restrictions that have kept employees and savers from accumulating a nest egg in retirement. However, the law also made significant changes affecting investors and could have significant financial and tax implications if individuals aren't informed. The law also may require changes made to structuring of retirement plans and estate documents.
This webinar (recorded March 25, 2020) provided an overview of the new law and what individuals and IRA owners need to know. A panel of experienced professionals dove into the details and offered real world scenarios of how these new rules could affect your bottom line.
